Unique Family VBS coming in August
We Gerwitzes at New Hope Christian Fellowship wanted to let you know about a unique Vacation Bible School experience this August.

As many of you know, our church is trying to expand it's connection and outreach to homeschoolers, and our VBS plan only enhances that. Our theme this year is the Olympics. Although we origionally planned to do the usual type of VBS where the children are dropped off by their parents and split into different age groups and classes, we actually thought of a better idea! Instead, we are asking WHOLE FAMILIES to sign up for this VBS (yes, that includes: moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, kids.) The families will compete against each other in the "Olympics" through various competitions in the craft, snack, and game departments. The devotional times will prepare everyone for the spiritual race we all are running as Christians.

This is a very special opportunity for your family to do something together this summer! We encourage you to sign up if you have the week free. Also, please do not hesitate to sign up even if one family member cannot attend. (i.e.-dad has to work some or all of those days.) If your family would like to be involved, we will make it work with the number of people you have.

Here is the information regarding the VBS:

What: A family-style Olympics Vacation Bible School
When: Monday, August 11th-Friday, August 15th
Time: 9-11:30 AM
Where: 170 Mt. Read Blvd, Rochester, NY

Sign up begins on June 15th!! Please call the church at 235-7970 or the Gerwitz's house at 621-6445. When you call to sign up, we would like to know the names and ages of all the competitors (parents-you don't have to tell us your ages!! :-) )

Feel free to pass this information on to any families you know!

Last, but not least, if there are any young adults who would like to volunteer to serve in this VBS, please contact us ASAP!! We are looking for people to staff  the crafts, snacks, and games sections!

If you have any questions, please contact Cati Gerwitz at NicoMonkey118@frontiernet.net

New York State LEAH

A non-profit membership organization of families who home school their children nationwide. Their mission is to preserve and advance the fundamental, God-given, constitutional right of parents and others legally responsible for their children to direct their education. In so doing, they rely on two fundamental freedoms; parental rights and religious freedom. HSLDA advocates for these freedoms in the courtrooms, before government officials, and in the public arena. Additionally, we assist other educational organizations in similar activities, where possible and appropriate.
